‘On the gas’ award winer!
I am still at a loss for words after being given the honor of the 2023 ASRA On the Gas Award. The winner is chosen by our race director and race school instructors. It is given to a racer that the staff feels is a positive ambassador for the sport, being there for their fellow racers, helping others and is overall a positive light in the paddock. The award is traditionally always given to an racer in Amateur status. Which makes this even more of an honor as tradition was broken this year for the first time when I was chosen as the first recipient who is an Expert.
