Ryan “Ryhno” Nolan

I am a multi-time regional and national motorcycle road race champion from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. My passion for motorcycles comes from my Dad who used to ride himself and would tell me about his exploits growing up. As soon as I turned 16, I got my motorcycle license and set myself the goal to race motorcycles and the dream to race professionally.

In 2015, I began road racing. Starting out on small displacement 250cc machinery, moving up to 650cc twins. In 2023, I made the big step up to the ultra competitive 600cc Middleweight class. For 2024, I attempted to make my Supersport debut at Road America but met more adversity through mechanical issues outside of my control. After missing out on qualifying by a small margin, I felt down but never out. We regrouped and decided to make the biggest step of my career so far. Moving up to the 1000cc Literbike class on board a Yamaha YZF-R1. The adaptation is challenging but with less than half a season left, I was able to round out the year with a podium finish in my second ever race weekend on the bike. For 2025,we made our professional debut in the MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 class. In 2026 we will be competing in regional and national championships to prepare for the 2027 Superbike Cup class in MotoAmerica.

My passion for racing is matched by my joy of helping others. When I am not racing, you’ll likely find me involved in something that deals with motorcycles. Whether it is coaching riders with Motovid.com, instructing new racers or working as a moto journalist for Roaddirt.tv, I strive to do whatever I can to grow the sport and spread that same joy I get with motorcycles to others.

I am known as a social butterfly at the track, always talking with people, making sure they are enjoying themselves and always asking what I can do to make their day better. My goal is to make sure everyone has great time! If you run into my wife Natalie at the track, she’ll tell you she usually has no idea where I am, because I’m usually out helping someone.

I live and breathe motorcycles and always try to represent myself and the sport in a positive way.

Away from the race track I take my passion to help others and apply it to my family and my role as a Senior Business Analyst at Acuity Insurance. I also have a great joy of fitness and wellness where I train and coach friends and co-workers.

  • I love to share my experiences with the world. Working part-time as a photojournalist for Roaddirt.tv these past several years has been an absolute joy. I have been fortunate enough to cover a variety of topics from new motorcycle launches, crewing for fellow racers at the Daytona 200, World Superbike, MotoAmerica and more.   • My greatest passions in life are motorcycles and helping others. Bringing those two things together by coaching up and coming riders and racers gives me such fulfillment. Whether working with riders independently or as a group lead and coach for Motovid.com, I always strive to do my utmost to help others enjoy their track experience and improve their skillset.

  • As the old adage says, “sharing is caring” and I love to share my racing journey through all of the highs and lows with the world. Whether it is reviewing gear, highlighting my sponsors and partners, talking about my approach to racing or riding, if sharing my experiences can help others, I want to do it in the most honest and fun way possible.

  • Through the most recent years of my racing career, I have been tested and knocked down. My professional debut was supposed to take place back in 2021 but each season I was forced to hold off on my dream due to obstacles outside of my control. If you ask anyone around the paddock, they will tell you if they had been faced with the challenges I have had, they would have given up. It’s cliché, and you hear everyone say it, but I never gave up and I just keep grinding. You will not find a harder working or more determined individual. The infinite amount of work I put in to succeed, I will do for any friend, any sponsor, and any partner. Once you’re on the team, you inherit my undying support.
